EXTENDED SYNOPSIS:
Lyca (Laura Vazquez) is a member of a tribe of lion people. Some say they originated when a lion mated with a man, and now possess the skills and strength of a lion. The women of the tribe, like the lioness, are born to serve and bear children within the confines of an arranged marriage. They live as a pride, with one dominant male. Navas (Sandy Winton), as chief of the lion people, sets out to find Lyca, who has escaped in search of freedom and love of her own choosing. Lyca travels with a young lion named Fale, who also fled the tribe when a new male took over and killed his cubs. While Fale surely would have died had he not met Lyca, she feels that Fale saved her, and the two share a deep affection.
Meanwhile, Dar (Daniel Goddard) senses danger as Navas tracks Lyca and Fale through the forest. With Tao (Jackson Raine) in tow, he goes to investigate and forces Navas to retreat. Dar listens to Lyca's story and vows to help her reach her destination.
While Dar and Tao are away from their camp, a group of King Zad's (Steven Grives) warriors rummage through their belongings and steal Tao's crucible to take back to their leader. With the discovery of this crucible, Zad sees Tao as a valuable commodity, as he needs advanced weapons to defeat Voden. Soon, King Zad and his men capture Dar, Tao, Lyca and Fale.
Suddenly, Navas bursts onto the scene and bloody altercation ensues. Lyca escapes, yet again, and Navas goes after her. Dar breaks free from his bonds, finds Lyca, and steals her away to the safety of a hidden cave. Zad takes Tao and Fale back to his camp and puts Tao to work making weapons. Under Zad's watchful eye, Tao stalls until Dar comes back.

Meanwhile, certain that Lyca is safe in the cave, Dar returns for Tao and Fale, but Tao convinces Dar to go back and help Lyca safely across the hills. He tells Dar that he and Fale will be safe as long as Zad needs him to make weapons.
Later, through Sharak's eyes, Dar sees that Navas is about to infiltrate Lyca's cave. He rushes to her, and Lyca admits that she has always dreamed of meeting a man like Dar and can't bear to lose him. Dar resists her charms, and Lyca becomes angry. Dar stands in amazement as Lyca transforms into a lioness. She lashes at him with her claws, but Dar calms her and reassures her that she will find what she is searching for. Navas enters the cave and tells Lyca there is no escape. She cannot belong to anyone who is not part of the tribe. Dar argues that every creature has the right to choose its own path, and convinces Navas to let Lyca go.
Meanwhile, Tao produces a magnificent sword. Zad throws a drunken celebration, giving Tao the opportunity to escape with Fale. Finally reunited with her companion, Lyca says goodbye to Dar and Tao and sets out on the road to freedom with Fale.
