EXTENDED SYNOPSIS:
The hunter, Milos (Anthony Simcoe), chases after a pack of wolves when he sees a feral child (Lloyd Wille Bond) among them. As Milos draws his sword and advances on the boy, Dar (Daniel Goddard) is alerted by Sharak and bursts onto the scene. He overpowers Milos and whisks the injured boy away to the safety of his camp, while the defeated Milos makes his way back to Zad's (Steven Grives) compound. As Milos relays the story of the wild child, another warrior, Huna (Claudia Black), listens with rapt attention.

Dar leaves Tao (Jackson Raine) to tend to the child's injuries while he goes in search of the boy's wolf family. While Dar is gone, a she-wolf comes for the boy, and Tao is helpless to stop them from leaving together.

The next morning, three parties set out in search of the boy. Dar and Tao leave from their camp while Huna launches her own search, followed closely by Milos and Zad. When Huna crosses paths with Dar and Tao, she tells them her story. She and Milos had belonged to branches of the same tribe. A rift developed between the two families, and Milos attacked Huna's people, killing her husband who was also their leader. When Huna tried to escape Milos' clutches, she hid her baby under the branches of a tree. When she went back for him, she found nothing but wolf tracks. Afraid she might never see her son again, she became hopeful when she heard rumors of a boy running with wolves. Her baby, Atticus, now the rightful leader of her people, must be found before he is murdered by Milos. While Milos wants Atticus dead, Zad sees the child as a pawn in his ongoing attempts to force the BeastMaster to side with him against Voden.

Dar tracks Atticus to a remote cave where the she-wolf has taken him to heal from his injuries. At the mouth of the cave, Dar communicates with the protective she-wolf, who finally retreats into the cave to fetch Atticus. Huna is overcome with emotion when she sets eyes on her son. When Dar leads the boy gently to Huna, he seems instinctively to know his mother, but Dar fears that Milos and Zad are on their trail. He orders Huna to stay with Atticus and the wolf in the cave while he and Tao distract their pursuers. As they lead Milos and his men on a merry chase, Zad steals towards the cave.

When Dar realizes he's been tricked, he hurries back to the cave where Zad unsuccessfully tries to negotiate with him for the boy's life. Milos soon arrives with his hunters, and a fight ensues. Amidst the confusion, Huna tears into the cave after her child. Meanwhile, Zad retreats, and Dar takes on the remaining warriors with the help of the pack that has come to his rescue. In a last effort, Milos grabs his bow and takes aim at the boy. In a fit of maternal fury, the she-wolf kills him.

Huna is reunited with her son, but it's an emotional moment when Atticus must say goodbye to the wolf who lovingly raised him.
