EXTENDED SYNOPSIS:
A new Eiron leader has emerged and vows to reclaim Xinca by driving out the evil Blood Priests. Tao (Jackson Raine) is desperate to learn the identity of the Eiron and to join the revolution against the Priests, who pushed his people away from their homeland. The young rebel, Kim (Steve Bacic), has already arrived in Xinca to warn the malevolent ruler, Maloc (Steve Bastoni), that his reign of terror is about to come to an end. Alerted by Sharak of the ensuing commotion, Dar (Daniel Goddard) arrives just in time to save Kim from the angry Priests, and hurries him away to safety. Spurred by his curiosity about the leader and his anger towards the Priests, Tao ignores Dar's warnings to stay away and also arrives in Xinca. Dar reminds his friend that he can't defeat evil with hatred and revenge.

Meanwhile, Dar is enraged when construction on a new road through the forest forces the animals from their natural habitat. Arina (Marjean Holden) explains that the road was ordered by Voden (David Paterson) to bring people from the four corners of the world to Xinca. Voden and the Priests have divided Xinca between them. As Xinca grows, both factions will become stronger, wealthier and more influential. Dar realizes that if the Eirons are going to reclaim Xinca, they must do it now.

While Maloc sends out a search party for the rebel Eiron, Kim sabotages the new road in an effort to slow down his enemies. When the Priests find him, they haul him back to Xinca where he's bound to a sacrificial slab. Once again alerted by Sharak, Dar returns to save Kim, and the two men escape into the forest. Hiking through the woods, Kim reveals his plan to transform the Eirons into warriors in order to take down the Priests. Dar, however, knows enough about the Eirons through his relationship with Tao to know that Eirons don't like bloodshed.

When the Nords discover the damage to their road, they assume the irate BeastMaster caused it. Arina has no choice but to hold Dar and Tao in a Xinca prison until the road is finished. The Eiron rebel rescues them and finally reveals himself to be Tao's long lost brother, Kim. During their emotional reunion, Tao hears Kim's plans to avenge their parents' deaths by killing Maloc. The next day, in a surprise attack, Kim plunges a knife into Maloc's chest and reclaims Xinca. But Kim's hunger for power diminishes the joy that Tao and Dar expected to feel when this day came. Arina reminds them that every new leader is more vicious than the last.

The same road Kim sabotaged when it served his enemies, he now utilizes to serve his best interests. He offers up hundreds of Eirons to work on the road, but while Tao argues that he's enslaved his own people, Kim reasons that he's merely creating a favorable alliance with King Voden. Dar reminds Kim that Tao's vision for Xinca was one where people lived in harmony and looked after one another. Heady with his new power, Kim scoffs at the notion as a fairy tale and recognizes in Dar a dangerous foe that must be eliminated. In a bloody altercation, Kim gets in the way of an archer's arrow and suffers a fatal wound. Tao's hopes and dreams for Xinca die with his brother.
