             EXTENDED
              SYNOPSIS:

            Long ago, King
Zad (Steven Grives) made a deal with Balcifer, the devil himself,
in which he agreed to instigate widespread chaos if he could be
made king of the world. Zad believes he's lived up to his end of
the bargain, but there still exists goodness in the world which
he must conquer -- namely, the BeastMaster, Balcifer's remaining
mortal enemy. So Zad sets out on a mission to bring down the BeastMaster,
unaware that Dar is about to begin an important mission of his own.

            When Dar races
to the aid of two refugees who are being threatened by Zad's soldiers,
he is suddenly cornered by a mysterious stranger who tells him he
is not who he thinks he is, and that it is his destiny to seek the
truth of his past. The stranger reveals himself as Dartanus (Marc
Singer), Dar's spirit warrior. As the two men's hands touch, Dar's
right palm pulses with pain and glows with the brand of a strange
rune which fades as Dartanus disappears.
            By the time
Dar reaches the refugees, they have already been saved by a bolt
of lightning that caused Zad's soldiers to retreat. The lightning
has also seared away much of the jungle's thick foliage to reveal
a lost temple bearing hieroglyphics. Tao
(Jackson Raine) determines that this was once the court of a
mighty king. Central to the temple design is the same rune that
              earlier appeared on Dar's hand.

             Back in their
village of Dimor, Tao sets about translating the symbols he found
on the jungle temple. He believes they are omens predicting disasters
involving earth, air, fire and water, which will take place while
the land is in chaos. It turns out that each must be faced and conquered
by Dar before he can learn his true destiny. Every step of the way,
Dartanus appears, as if guiding him towards his fate.
            Ultimately,
as Dar faces his final challenge, Dartanus pulls him through a 'curtain'
into a magical land called Arakann. Here Dar learns that he is actually
the son of the much-loved deceased King Eldar, former ruler of Arakann.
When Dar was just a baby, his father was killed by Zad's army, which
marked Zad's first victory in his deal with Balcifer. Dartanus was
sworn to protect Dar until he was old enough to assume the throne.
Now Dartanus changes Dar's staff into the sword of his late father
and tells him he will need to use it on his journey.
            Dar's quest
is now clear. In order to regain the throne of Arakann and save
the world from eternal darkness, he must do battle against Zad and
all of Balcifer's messengers of evil.
